Ms. Karen Eoff was re-elected to a 3rd term on the Hawai‘i County Council as District 8 Council Member and serves as Vice Chair, Chair of the Committee on Planning, Vice Chair of the Committee on Finance, and Vice Chair of the Committee on Public Safety and Mass Transit.
Karen has been married to her husband, Gary Eoff, since 1975. Together they moved to Hawai‘i in 1981 to join her sister who also resides on the island. They have lived in Kona for over 35 years.
Prior to being elected, both Karen Eoff and Maile David worked together on two landmark Supreme Court cases regarding Native Hawaiian Gathering Rights and protection of our Public Trust resources as well as a law requiring Cultural Impact Statements for land use approvals.

Community Forums is a private non-profit organization with a 501c (3) designation from the IRS. Its mission is to bring educational resources to the residents of West Hawai'i so they can better participate in the public policy issues that affect their lives and their communities.
